Making Retirement Great
​Symposium

In partnership with Metro North Health and the University of Sunshine Coast, in June 2023, Sandgate Mens Shed hosted a Symposium featuring a number of guest speakers and covering a wide range of topics. These related to four main areas of Mens Health interest being Mental, Physical, Social and Economic Health. Over 120 attendees provided positive feedback about the program and we hope other Mens Sheds can draw on our expertise in co-ordinating their own similar events.

Einbunpin Festival Sandgate 

Sandgate Mens Shed is a regular stall holder at the annual Einbunpin Festival in Sandgate. This community event draws large numbers of visitors on the day and allows our shed to showcase our products and expertise to the wider community. This years event will be on Sunday 30 July

Bracken Ridge 
​Train Days

The Rotary Club of Bracken Ridge regularly hosts Train Days at their minature railway track at Bracken Ridge. Sandgate Mens Shed is a regular supporter of these events and has assisted in making various train faces for the engines which brings joy to young and old alike.
